About Me

I am an engineer, scientist and educator. Since I was young, I was fascinated by the nature that surrounds us. In particular, I enjoy birdwatching and amateur astronomy. A pair of binoculars accompanied me on my journeys to observe bird behavior during the day, and reveal the splendors of the stars during the night. My interest in birdwatching waned but my love for the night sky grew when I moved to Arizona to study and work. The dark skies of Arizona and many fellow amateur astronomers provided me the best learning ground for deep sky observing. My favorite telescope is a 10″ f/6 Newtonian and I spent countless hours observing star clusters, nebulae, galaxies, comets and the planets.
I moved back to Malaysia and in 2015, I began to dabble in photography to record the birds and stars I see. Photography is now my favorite way of conveying the beauty of nature, hope you will enjoy and appreciate the beauty of nature through my photos! Thank you for dropping by.
